With over 15 years of experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, she specializes in structural engineering and complex Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions. Holding a Master's degree in Architectural Engineering from Cal Poly, she created Aurora BIM to bring effective BIM management services to engineers and architects in California.

Originally from Canada, she now embraces sunny climates. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her puppy Rio, practicing yoga, attending concerts, and spending quality time with her many nephews and nieces.

Elizabeth Mae Rickardsson
BIM Specialist
As a BIM-specialist with nearly 20 years’ experience in all phases of the building design and construction process including project management, team leadership, BIM Management. architectural design and handover for facility management. She grew up in her father’s architectural studio and after finishing her architectural degree in the US, spent the next 18 years working in Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Her professional experience includes many different types of projects including housing, infrastructure, industry, hospitals, commercial rental space and educational facilities for both private and public clients.
Through her work with Valbek Sweden and close collaboration with Aurora BIM, she currently has the pleasure of collaborating with a network of some of the most talented and creative BIM professionals, architects and engineers in the industry. She thrives on tackling challenges together with clients and colleagues: believing that BIM is truly a team sport!
Today she lives in Kailua, Hawaii with her husband and two children. When she is not nerding out on Revit or unravelling BIM problems she enjoys spending time on the beach, traveling or trying out new restaurants.
